Independent hotel brand Preferred Hotels & Resorts will expand its portfolio with eight new luxury openings next year.
These include a restored 19th century mansion in Fes, Morocco, a boutique retreat in Mexico City, and an 81-room hotel in London’s Fitzrovia.
“Our 2026 new hotel list reflects the powerful shifts captured in our Luxury Travel Report, where a significant majority of global luxury travellers are prioritising authenticity, thoughtful curation, heritage, and meaningful ‘legacy moments,’” said CEO Lindsey Ueberroth.
The new openings are:
- The Newman, London, in February 2026, part of Legend Collection
- Romègas Hotel, Valletta, Malta, in early 2026, part of the L.V.X. Collection
- The Cooper, Charleston, South Carolina, US, in March (Legend)
- Gran Hotel Claridge Granada, Granada, Spain, in April (L.V.X.)
- Palais Jamaï Fès, Fes, Morocco, in spring 2026 (Legend)
- Serras Sevilla, in Seville, Spain, in spring 2026 (Legend)
- Pendry Mexico City, Mexico (L.V.X.)
- The Stelle, Park City, Utah, US, in winter 2026 (L.V.X. and Preferred Residences)
In addition to the eight new openings, three existing Preferred Hotels & Resorts properties are due to reopen next year following extensive refurbishment.
These are the Boar’s Head Resort & Birdwood Mansion in Charlottsville, Virginia in the US, in March; the Hôtel California Paris, in the third quarter of next year; and the Hotel Metropole Geneve in Geneva, Switzerland.
